Tony McNulty: Carrot Carrot Stick

McNulty MP, Minister of State for Employment and Welfare Reform is interviewed by WORLDbytes volunteer Emma Grant on the new welfare reform bill and jobs. The reform bill proposes strict conditions that unemployed people must meet to access benefits, including a 'work for your benefit' scheme for the long-term unemployed which will force them to volunteer or work for no pay. But how will people find work when there are currently only 455,000 job vacancies and over 2.2 million unemployed?
