Shooting Views: An interview with Norman Lewis
Many now see unemployment as a problem of an idle generation who are content to live on benefits. In this interview, Saleha Ali quizzes Norman Lewis, author of the London Manifesto for Innovation, on the causes of unemployment and prospects for fuller employment in the future. Norman argues the case for big thinking and innovation and suggests we would do well to emulate China’s positive attitude to growth.

Very insightful and I like his idea of spheres of industry that capture people’s imagination but I’d like to know what specifically? What can Britain lead in and develop? I understand we need another way of thinking that lends itself to innovation and growth more broadly but some specific propsals would help otherwise its all a bit airy fairy isn’t it?.
