We the People, you the Mob?

1:10:39

mob

In this excellent and sometimes hilarious debate, we learn of the horrific impact on individual lives the censorious Twitterstorm is able to have. With comedian Daniel O’Reilly aka Dapper Laughs on the platform, John Coventry of change.org, Josie Appleton from the Manifesto club, Cathy Young from Reason magazine and barrister Rupert Myers the discussion takes off about what’s going on. Is this mob rule or the emptying out of politics and serious debate? Is the technology to blame or simply reflecting and amplifying the incessant hounding of individuals? The audience chip in with great questions. David Bowden associate director of the Institute of Ideas produced this session and is chair. This video was filmed and produced by WORLDbytes volunteers at the Battle of Ideas do like, watch, share and comment, a twitterstorm on this debate could be no bad thing.
