What should post-millennials know?

48:03

Post-millennials

There is little consensus as to what the young should learn from the old, reflected in debates about the school curriculum.  Some even argue that rather than lecturing them, teachers need to do more listening to pupils.  Are there ideas, insights and pieces of knowledge that the older generation has a responsibility to pass on, or should we trust kids to Google all the answers?

The speakers are Dr Jennie Bristow, author of ‘Baby Boomers and Generational Conflict’; Chloe Combi, author of ‘Generation Z: Their voices, their lives’; Michael Young, emeritus professor of education, UCL Institute of Education.  The chair is Toby Marshall, A-Level teacher, PhD researcher in sociology of education, UCL Institute of Education.
