Rebecca Wang thumb FWB

Rebecca is an active advocate for physics, independently founding and leading her school’s first physics society. She has presented the findings from her Extended Project Qualification on the London Millennium Footbridge to local lay audiences and at an Ogden Physics Symposium. She shares her enthusiasm through her blog “Science Fluff”, which tackles questions on the science behind everyday objects.

This interview was filmed and edited by WORLDbytes volunteers for the WISE (Women in Science Technology & Engineering) 2014 Awards night and screened to an audience of over 500 including HRH the Princess Royal who presented the trophies. Filming was made possible thanks to support from Bloomberg. Full versions of all interviews have also been edited by volunteers & provided to WISE to feature on their website.

Kudos for setting up a physics society. I loved biology at school and would have loved a society where I could explore biology beyond the curriculum.
